The KAMAR triplefigurine of drunk plundering Vikings is painted: KAMAR Vikings painted by Cryns front .png KAMAR Vikings painted by Cryns back .png I am always obsessed with curiousity about where a sculptor got his inspiration, what was his source of historical information and which influences made...

Re: Tyros 332 BC

Thank you very much for the nice feedback, dear Wolle, Egbert, StephB and Frankzett. they can be used in a variety of scenarios. Workers operating a Roman crane is one option that comes to my mind. And we had some first thoughts on Roman river transport: Towing the boats was quite often used for ups...

Re: Wikinger Projekt W.Hartung

Danke Dirk :D

I did some research.
Not all of these figurines are Vikings.
All of these metal figurines are from KAMAR and come from at least 4 different Viking sets. Two of them are from the KAMAR medieval range: those with the shoulder caps.

KAMAR Wikinger Projekt W.Hartung

Hallo Patrick, Dirk and Gertrud, Hartungs Vikings have arrived in Amsterdam. Thanks for the initiative and for sending them. I don't think Wolfgang H. can see or hear us when we finish his diorama. But at least working on his figs gives me time to remember him and his legacy. I am not a specialist a...

Re: Plancenoit

Incredible massive! I have only seen this in the GiM museum before, also made by a group of painters, directed by Wolle and Patrick. It has been said that my scenes of Plancenoit and Hougoumont show too much skirmish action and not enough of what we expect of the Napoleonic era, namely troops in clo...

Re: Die Preussen vor Wittenberg 1813

Nice work, impressive extensions. I love those bundles of wood/branches you use for building defences and platforms. About the painted backgrounds: just try to use them when you photograph them and watch the result. When the backgrounds are out of focus in the picture, it will probably work best. Re...

It makes my day to see Dani is expanding her wonderful Scottish diorama again.
I look forward to see its development.

But is she working on a voluntary base or did somebody force her to continue the work?

Re: K.u.K. in Palästina

Hallo Michel, My compliments for this new diorama. Very well done. I did not know what K.u.K. means but now I understand it: 'Kaiserlich und Königlich' from the Austro Hungarian empire during the 19th century. Auch waren sie beliebter, da sie die schöneren Theaterstücke aufgeführt haben. :D :?: For ...
