Hi Sala.

The restoration and the urgency of the ‘100’ days undoubtably caused uniform problems and indeed units of the Guard no less were a bit shambolic in appearance by all accounts.

However, for my battle two days earlier than yours the 100 days site has been most useful as the guys research is excellent.

I have also found this to be useful and hopefully will be to you too.

Sala,

Great wax model. It must be kept cool not to lose its shape.

the drummer, I guess I will have no choice but to redo it entirely ...
You live, you learn, right ?
I admire your attitude to improving your skills. But still I think it will be more productive and fruitful to make a second one instead.
Or maybe that is just what you are trying to say here.

Hey Cryns,

I meant this: a new figure.

Which uniform still remains undecided.

Hi Sala.

Super work.

Great painting and conversions.

I love the bare heads with the lovely faces, they bring your guys to life.

Where did you get them, Franznap?

Do not forget that with the mud everyone would be filthy.

Best wishes,

Chris

Hi Chris,

1) Actually, for the bare heads, I just stole Egbert's method: I choose expressive faces (mostly Italeri/Esci or Zvezda), remove helmets/shakos/hats, and then greenstuff the hair.
Franznap heads are just a tad too small to fit with the rest of the main 1/72 production, at least I find.

2) Yes, the whole thing will be irremediably dirtied, erasing much detail, a bit like those modellers who paint the entire inside of airplanes/tanks that no one can see once the thing is completed. :D

Best wishes
