Hallo,
Breite: 380mm
Tiefe: 105mm
Höhe: 102mm

Römische Villa Rustica
Re: Römische Villa Rustica
Thanks for explanation and text supporting your beautiful villa.
Yes indeed that would make sense. Arcade on the outside makes easy burglary.
Was that a mistake?
Or done on purpose for the show and to attract tourists?
Do you mean in this re-building of the villa the archaeologists did it the wrong way around?conny hat geschrieben:Der Säulengang wurde zur Hofinnenseite gelegt wie es auch richtig ist.

I mean, that the arcade to the inner side shows, since there also the cellar entrance is located.
Each intruder would immediately have access to the supplies when the arcade to the out side shows.
The Roman villas had in this area only a narrow door which led outwards.
This can be seen well on the excavation findings.

Yes I fully agree with your point of view.conny hat geschrieben:I mean, that the arcade to the inner side shows, since there also the cellar entrance is located.

Also interesting to see you show us the 'Wetterseite'
I would never think of that myself but indeed its an important aspect of how to build a proper dwelling.
