Hey Sala,
that will be great one can already see that! :o

What lovely figures did you use, for the artillerieteam,
the limber and the horses for the limber.
Hi Egbert,

Thanks for the compliments.
Actually, the limber, the ammunition caisson and the canons are from Zvezda.
The covered wagon is from Italeri, but everything is modified.

As for the horses, they are a mix of parts. Not one horse is straight out of the box. I used Italeri, Zvezda, Revell, Esci, and not only from the Napoleonic period.

Hi all,

Latest advancements for the week:

The two limbers are now 95% complete: I just need to tie the ropes up, but I am going to address that only when I glue the pieces on the board.
It's so hot over here that the paint dries almost instantly as I apply it.
I will weather/dirty the whole lot later, the wheels especially.

And on to the next phase: making corpses !!

Comments and criticism welcome.

Super gemacht. Es macht Sinn, die Verschmutzungen später zu machen, dann, wenn man auch den Erdboden farblich gestaltet!

Great work indeed.

I love the bald headed chap.

The faces make the diorama come to life.

Fantastic stuff Sala.

Have you seen Ernest Croft’s painting?

I will find a link for you.

I modelled my ‘gun battery’ picture partially on it.

Best wishes,

Chris

Hi Chris,

Thank you for posting the painting: it was one of my inspirations for my dio.
Very dynamic scene indeed.

Will post more pics soon: things are moving ahead!

Hello1

A really great job now. What does it look like when you're done?

The last two figures are beautifully painted. Please note, however, that the French infantry, as well as the artillery in 1815, no longer had any hangings on their shakos.

Frank
