Very nice work indeed.

Can I ask is there a link to Martin Wellberg studios as this might be useful for my project?

For the rye at Quatre Bras I used dyed horse hair although Woodland scenics do various grasses that are essentially the same thing.

Best wishes,

Chris

Hello Sala,

My compliments for your effort, improvement and your persistence to make a whole new drummer.
I admire and understand your aim to make all these conversions. Which look very good.
You show this battle in the most gruesome way. Probably even more gruesome as when our friend Mr. Dodson would have made it.
Just like he used to say, it does justice to what a dramatic event like that really was.

Regards,

Cryns

Hey Chris,

Here it is: have fun perusing.
https://www.sceneryexpress.com/Martin-W ... ents/1379/

For my part, I ordered some of these:

The tall ones are just a tad higher than the belly of a horse in 1/72 scale, which will be perfect for my scene. The figures used in the shots seem to be in 1/48 scale.
The brand is a bit more expensive than Woodland Scenics, but the look is just awesome, and the product is quite versatile.
The shop I linked here offers excellent service BTW.
I think you might be able to find it easily over your side of the pond: the producer is Dutch, from what I understand.

Anyway, have fun !

Hallo all,

The latest advancements: just a few figures to go, and some debris.
Then will come the laying out of the terrain and fixing everything, after much dirtying...

Hallo all,

Thanks for the comments, Wolfgang and Egbert.
Still a WIP: I believe I will reposition the limbers however slightly to create less of an alignment with the guns. Especially the one on the right.

I also think I should add more dead British horses on the ground, what do you think?

In my scenario, this is as far as the cavalcade went down the line before being recalled (and too late at that) by their commander, hence the isles of resistance on the far (and upper) left, whereas the gun crews are all dead on the right.

Perhaps more dead crew members as well ? But there I hesitate because the tall grass will likely hide a great number of them.

More food for thought.

Wow... It looks wonderful, :o
The floor design looks sensational on the detail shots.
I think in the later general view of the Dios the effect of your vegetation is yet bigger.
